Publishing My First Novella

 Story of a girl who blossoms into a woman who can't get herself out of bullying, both from so-called sane people, invisible creatures like spider-monkey, and evil giants! Yes, this book is fantasy, adventure and thriller rolled into one.

With her sensitive power to face all her tormentors, she is slated to ace them out, and find the nirvana she richly deserves. To making impact, issues like environmental degradation, pollution, genocide, etc brought about by greed and ignorance are springboards to knowing the value system of characters in the novella.

I have been writing articles for over a decade now, and writing article is different from writing a short story, or novella, or novel.

In fact, the number of hours to spend and pages to bleed heart out, and lots of energy needed to write one could make one feeling drained from such; and, of course, oftentimes, the desire to go on dissipates along the way. Yes, unless the motivation is real enough to get one done and published, no matter what the circumstances.

Mine was a roller coaster ride, sort of, there were times I am highly motivated; other times, I am unmotivated to go on with my writing. Yes, when you are not in the mood to get ideas down on your lappie, you won't ever get productive. Better look for other things to do like gardening, say grape nook growing, going for a walk, having update with friends about what's new, hot or what, in your circle of influence, and so on. Then, go back to face the blank page; now, with more determination spilling over onto the page ideas about fictional characters, events, places or the like.

Contacted with acquisition editors for two publishing websites but, sad to say, had enrolled on Kindle which means the manuscript is already locked on their system, for three months. To disenrol from KDP Select program, had to inform them about it, then, if reason found to be valid enough, that's the time my manuscript will be allowed to be uploaded to other publishing websites around.

Lessons here: If you want to get your book distributed to other publishing websites don't ever enrol to KDP Select. Just upload on amazon.com sans exclusivity thingy attached to it.

Writing IMACUS: Secret Island took me months to finish and; finally, published on Kindle Unlimited for free, and live as an e-book on Amazon.com, for a reasonable price.
